A shot like this, knowing why it is whitened, or where it is, is just amazing. Breathtaking even.

The leaves along the side of the road are darker, because they are either dead or wet, but they are darker than all of the other leaves in the trees, and they form a path, leading away from the viewer. It's perfect how they trail all the way into the fog, and out of sight.
It gives the shot a sense of travel and mystery.

I love the sunlight coming in from the top, but the darkened road below. It contrasts, and shows nature and urban life. (Road, Sun).
